Success Is Up To You

You know some days I sit in front of my computer and think I can not go another day or even another minute.

“I Quit” is at the tip of my tongue and then I have to sit back and ponder a few  things. First of all, I am not a quitter. And I do pretty good at keeping those thoughts at bay but every once in awhile it creeps up on me.

When that happens I walk away from the computer and do something, anything. Start the laundry, wash the dishes, sweep the floor. All the things I hate to do anyway. Now wait–no my house is not a mess because I do neglect these things. My daughter helps me out more than she knows and that reminds me I have to thank her more often.

I have been online since November 2003 and well, let me share a little of what’s happened since then. Humor me, if you will.

November 2003 I joined YTB. Now this AFTER my hubby said I could NEVER join another business but it was travel so he let me and actually he worked it with me in the beginning. For the first few months I built my business the old school way; with fliers, family, friends, anybody who would talk to me, cold calls, bought leads and more.

Between January 05 through Mar 05 I made 3,627 cold calls and did not put one person in my business–all this while working my full-time job. That’s 302 cold calls every week. Phew can you imagine? BUT I never quit. I did quit making cold calls but I never thought about quitting my business.

From April 20505-July 0707 I studied network marketing, bought every ebook, signed up for every newsletter, even paid a personal coach. I was learning the trade. It was also during this time I spent over $15,000 on google adwords. I started implementing some of the things I learned. Had a NON-replicated website, captured my leads, worked my leads.

July of 07 I changed companies for reasons I won’t go into here.

Around August 2007 I watched a video of Dennis Karganilla talking about using Myspace and YouTube to build my business. It was not until I started using video to provide value that I finally “got it”. I stopped pitching my opportunity at every turn.

I started providing value for free through video, newsletters, blogs, etc. Since then I have grown my online brand and continue to do my best at providing value to everyone who I meet. I am here to help people! Truly that is our goal to help you get over the hurdle that makes you want to quit. That makes you want to start and stop. That makes you want to come and go.

See I NEVER quit. I may have gone through sometimes when I was learning or creating BUT I never quit on me! You may think that when you quit you’re quitting your business! You’re not really! You’re saying that all those dreams locked up inside you were just that “dreams”; never really meant to happen to someone like you. You’re saying you don’t deserve it. You’re saying you never could do it. You’re saying you only got in to “try” anyway.

You’re saying that your mother, father, brother, sister, wife, husband, friend or anybody else close to you were right! There is no such thing as “making” it. You finally started to believe their lies:

You can’t do it.
That’s a scam.
Nobody makes any money in those things.
Those people are liars.
Those people aren’t your friends.
Those people don’t have your best interest at hear.

They’re saying:

Stick with us. Work for the next 20 years; come on you can do it. Look at what you get.

Free medical; if you’re lucky.
Retirement; yeah how much?
Social securty; What a joke!

Your success depends you! Yes, it’s hard work but so worth it.

This was an awesome post really. I enjoyed it so much and thanks for sharing Holly.

A warrior doesn’t quit what he loves he finds the love in what he does.

Quitting is for Quitters… I don’t have time for that.
