Do You Run Out of Content?

If you’re anything like me you are being hit from all angles to join this pre-launch or that next best biggest, baddest program on
the planet–I get hit at every turn.

Some folks have asked me why do I stay on those lists. You know the guru lists? Research! That is it. If I receive an email that makes
me want to click a link or I find myself reading the whole email; I know I have a winner.

So I save the email in my swipe file and take bit and pieces from those emails that make me want to take action. I have heard some folks say I want to start a blog but I never know what to write. My first thought is—hmmm, just sit down and write.

So here are some ways to get over that.

You can write about your “crappy” day. Yes, people will read it. But try to add a lesson in your post. You can take the crappiest day and turn it into a lesson.

how_to_write_contentWrite about your dog and its shenanigans. There are dog-lovers out there who will read your posts.

Write about your family history; where you’re from, how you ended up where you live now. I always envied those folks who have lived in the same place all their life. I attended 14 different schools between Kindergarten and 10th grade.

Write about your favorite vacation.

Write about your dream vacation.

Write about life growing up.

In other words, just write. And oh yeah when you run out of stuff to write about re-visit your swipe file and choose bits, pieces, and paragraphs from your favorite or not so favorite “guru”.

Safe Pay Solutions Using a Bank Name–Not Authorized

A bank representative called me today to let me know that Herring National Bank is NOT the provider for SafePaySolutions.com as stated in their Privacy Policy. In addition, Herring National Bank does not even provide Visa cards as stated in SFS website.

So another “lie” on their website. Does SafePay Solutions have a merchant provider? Probably not! In short, stay as far away from SPS as you posssibly can.

I wish the folks at Herring National Bank success in their endeavor to get their good name removed from these scammers website. The nice gentleman at Herring applauded my aggressive efforts to get our money returned. If you’re a victim; don’t give up! Let the world know that SPS defrauded you as well.

Safe Pay Solutions Update

I wanted to keep everybody up to date about my issues with Safepay Solutions. You may or may not have read my previous post about what happened with us; and countless others and Safepay’s lack of response to support tickets.

So I am reading everything I can on their website. I sent a ticket to the geotrust folks who say that safepaysolutions is a trusted site:

“Quote–Just don’t understand how you can provide your trusted logo on a site that steals people’s money; doesn’t answer support tickets. I would NOT want my name associated in any way, shape, or form with http://www.safepaysolutions.com

Do your research. They have been holding about $750 of our money; and 10′s of 1,000′s of dollars from other folks accounts. End-Quote”

As I continue plowing through their website I found ONE reference to their Visa Merchant provider in their privacy policy. So me being the researcher that I am…I googled Herring National Bank. Clicked on their website and called the first number listed and explained my situation. She said someone would contact us tomorrow I then submitted this to their support ticket system.

“Quote–I have an account with SafePay solutions and it is in their privacy states that you are the issuer of their merchant account. If that is true how can they get away with keeping $1,000′s from innocent small business owners.

I have been trying to contact them since April 14 with no response; save 1 from them.

They are holding almost $750 of my money and if you just google them $1,000′s of other people’s money.

IF you are not their merchant account provider I would suggest that you ask them to remove that from their privacy policy.

If you are how can they legally continue to sign up new accounts; knowing full well they are not going to pay us?–End Quote”

It wasn’t 15 minutes I received a personal phone call from a gentleman from the bank. He said he would look into and give me a call tomorrow. And me being the person that I am I copied and pasted the two tickets I sent to the above to my on-going support ticket that has been opened since April 14th with SafePay.

So I encourage ALL of you to call Herring National Bank and tell them your SafePaySalutions nightmare; if you have one. They can NOT get away with keeping our money while they line their pockets with our customer’s money.

I hope you will retweet this until someone wakes up and takes safepay’s money back as they have taken ours.

Read a recent Better Networker Forum for more stories about the money safepay is holding.

Three Mistakes

A real quick note today before I grab some more coffee and hunker down to some work.

I got off track today and wandered in the internet “surfing” jungle. Man, now 2 1/2 hours later…anyway I was in one of my social sites and my mind was wandering as I was making connections and reading profiles…

So three mistakes…

I so often see newbies–make some BIG mistakes when reaching out online for the first time–now believe me when I say I made the same dumb mistakes.

Being online for the past 5 1/2 years I have met some of the most incredible marketers; however, its just recent that small/business owners are realizing the power of the “social media” craze.

There are some mistakes that I see “newbs” make when they first come online.

Mistakes–big no, no’s!

#1 Promote, Promote, Promote
While in the offline world this is the expected way to do business; it’s a big no-no in the online social world

#2 Selfishly Reaching Out
In other words reaching out to others online with the ONLY intent of “making the sale”. Don’t do this; trust me us online socialites can small ya a mile away.

#3 Not sharing
Thinking that by sharing you are going to give all your secrets away–come on people there are 300,000,000 plus people in the US alone. There is room to share.

So what can you do instead?

#1 Promote, Promote, Promote

I know I said that is big mistake; but in the online world you promote OTHERS! Tweet out others valuable content, share others articles, knowledge, and expertise. Trust me when I say this will come back and give you more credibility than going out and promoting YOU all the time.

#2 Selfishly Reach Out
AND ask for help…in the online world don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help. Look for JV (joint-venture opportunities) they are right in front of your nose sometimes…open your eyes. Play dumb and let somebody else be the expert for a change.

Share your expertise! Don’t promote it. Give it willingly and unselfishly. Don’t be afraid to refer to another business owner as the expert. When someone asks a question–answer it freely.

Told ya it was short and sweet.

Meet My First Mentor

I get asked all the time; Holly how in the hell did you learn this stuff? And I have to tell the them, I had and still HAVE mentors! Many of them…and I learned something from each and every one of them.

Today I want to introduce to you my first mentor. I gotta tell ya; she is in incredible marketer and what I learned from her I still practice every day.

Notice that I said I STILL use EVERY DAY. And I’ve known her since what is it now? 2004? I was actually a cold call she made to NWM (network marketers).

Wow, time does fly. Now did she take me by the hand? NOPE! Did she call me everyday? NOPE! Did I study her every move for almost a year? YEP! Did I CASE (Copy And Steal Everything) everything she did? You betcha!

Did she get mad? NOPE! It’s one of the greatest complements you can give your sponsor/mentor when you take what they give you and put it into practice. Now wait, I didn’t COPY word for word exactly. What I did was take her leadership and created my own style….Get it?

Now hear me out; I took her example and followed it. Most of you are chasing the next big guru and you don’t stop and think of the ones right around you who are here to help.

Trust me when I say this! Not ONE big GURU will call you unless it is to sell you their ten-thousand gazillion dollar package! And then it won’t be them but some call center guy who is just out for the commission.

But my first mentor called me! Do you know when? When she saw that I was taking action on her mentoring. Some of you are out there saying to yourself, “My sponsor/mentor never calls me!” My response is, “Well they probably gave you homework that you never completed! So why should they?”

Come on people gimme a break.

Anyway, I guess I’ll have to put this into Holly’s rants category as well; although it didn’t start out that way. The whole reason I’m writing this is that Melanie is now…FINALLY! Damn, that girl took a long time…sharing with you what I learned from her a long time ago.

Wait she is going to GIVE it away…it’s 38 pages chock-ful of the exact same system I used to create my product giveaway awhile back; it’s the same system I used to start building my list! ONLY MORE. When I first met Melanie her ebook was 6 pages! I still have it…she has expanded on that and she is giving it away.

I said, “Melanie,I told her–Oh yeah her name is Melanie Milletics) she was an idiot…but she didn’t listen to me. hmmm

But listen this free guide will ONLY help you if you implement her strategies. Don’t let it sit on your hard-drive lost in the 1,000′s of ebooks that you already have…

Oh and tell Mel when you talk to her that Holly sent ya!

Did Safepay Go On Vacation With Our Money?

I know that this will NOT get our money back; but everyday I login to my safepay solutions account and provide an update. After all that’s what I am about Customer Service…below is a synopsis of my ongoing support tickets to their

Support system…I mean LACK of Support System!

So I will continue to send updates because after all I’m all about customer service.

I wanted to touch base with you and tell you a story. We launched a website a few weeks back and 4/5/09 to be exact. Isn’t that exciting? We were so very excited and we were happy to use safepaysolutions to provide value to our customers.

So we launched and wow–safepay accepted about $900 of our members money. Again, we were making money and providing value to our customers.

Then someone emailed me a sad story about the problems with safepay and how they were holding money from folks. I couldn’t believe how anybody could get away with that.

Since I’m an honest person I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Lo and behold! On 4/15/09 and safepay sure enough disabled my account–the second we were “qualified” to ask for a withdrawal?

Why? I didn’t know until two weeks later when I finally did hear from the nice lady over there called Maria on 4/29/09–so almost 2 weeks AFTER I sent numerous requests.

I told this nice lady Maria that yes I did try to change my address and could they please allow me access to my account. It is now 5/14/09 and man they must have gone on vacation with everybody’s money because I have yet to hear from that nice lady Maria; who addressed me as Dear Holly…

I’ll update you again soon.

I Told You So

A couple of weeks ago I did a blog training class and my biggest advice was;

“If you are using YouTube videos on your blog and/or website STOP! Host them somewhere else. Because YouTube can suspend or delete your account at any time.”

A lot of folks boohooed at that BUT it happened to a lot of great marketers this past week.  So take my advice…

Go now and login to your YouTube channel.

Click on Account (top right)

Click on Manage Account (on the left)

Look at your Community Guidelines and Account Status

Don’t stop there. Go through all of your videos and if you are using copyrighted material; whether it’s pictures, music, etc. get rid of those videos!

What would you rather lose? All of your videos or just a few?

I use Veer.com for royalty free pictures.

So go now do some video “housekeeping”. This same thing holds true for your blog. Are you copying or are you using original material for your blog and/or website(s)? If you are STOP! That’s just dumb.
